Art-making can be challenged by so many internal and external voices. I find it is best to listen to the guides that keep me moving forward.

I have a Virginia Wolfe “Room of My Own,” a safe zone for working with drawing, ink, watercolor, gouache, words, and thread. I now share our garage studio with my husband, Tom Spleth, and have my own press, paper and print storage, etc. I still access lithography presses elsewhere but enjoy having all I need just across the driveway, rain, snow or shine! Some daily practice is my goal.
